The public are able to access national waste data through WasteDataFlow Waste Management.
The most relevant National Indicator (NI) for this request is NI193: Percentage of Municipal Waste Sent To Landfill
Tonnage data is not collated daily by Devon County Council and we therefore do not hold this information.
We should clarify that national data reporting is on a financial year basis, reported quarterly, 3 months in arrears and we can therefore confirm the following:
1st January 2020 – December 31st 2020 – 14,472 tonnes
1st January 2021 – December 31st 2021 – 16,791 tonnes
1st January 2022 – October 31st 2022 – (Jan – Jun only – latest reported data) 9,998 tonnes
