How many businesses and individual people have made complaints to Devon County Council (DCC) requesting changes to parking in the areas where new restrictions are proposed in the Dartmouth Consultation Ref 5937 area in the last 5 years?

DCC believes compliance with this request would exceed the appropriate costs limit under section 12 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 which is £450 or 18 hours of officer time. This is because DCC’s customer relations database does not capture complaint classification at the level required to determine accurately how many complaints may be involved. To retrieve this information would entail manually checking over 350 cases on our customer relations database, which would equate to approximately 58 hours worth of work (10 minutes per case). We would also need to check our highways department for complaints for the requested period which would be somewhere in the region of 3000+ complaints.
