Construction Costs in 2015 and 2020

Please can you let me know how much you spent on the following types of work in both 2015 and 2020. I’ve included the ProClass Procurement Classification codes
ProClass Procurement Classification
390000 Works – Construction, Repair & Maintenance
391110 Works – Construction, Repair & Maintenance Buildings Construction
391310 Works – Construction, Repair & Maintenance Open Spaces Construction
391410 Works – Construction, Repair & Maintenance Roads Construction

If you do not use ProClass classification and instead use the UNSPCSC system, please can you let me know how much you spent in both 2015 and 2020 on the following types of work:

72100000 Building construction and support and maintenance and repair services
72130000 General building construction
72131701 Highway or road paving or surfacing
72131702 Bridge construction

Please note the following;

  1. Devon County Council (DCC) do not store data by calendar year so we have used financial years 15/16 and 20/21.
  2. DCC do not classify individual transactions by work type so we can only approximate our answers. Instead, we work on geographically located projects where a number of things are covered under one brief.
  3. The spreadsheet is based on data held for Engineering Design Group Highways / Built Environments, Engineering Design Group Bridges & Structures, Jacobs and WSP.
  4. The Bridge Construction data is all of the BAS programme excluding Retaining Walls, Rockface Management and Embankment schemes.
