The 2-year-old funding was underspent by £294,000. This was used to offset the overspend on the 3- & 4-year-old funding and the overspend of the Early Years SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disability) budget.

The 3- & 4-year-old funding was overspent by £115,000. This was due to the funding guarantee requested by the DfE that no provider would receive less funding in Autumn 2020 compared to Autumn Term 2019 due to COVID
