4 residential respite services (registered children’s homes) are provided by Devon County Council.

40 children.

2c) How many holiday clubs does your local authority commission to support disabled children under the age of 18?

Devon County Council has 4 organisations providing holiday clubs, where funding is provided to enable attendance. There will be other smaller organisations that have been accessed via direct payment as all short break holiday clubs are provided on an individual basis, rather than commissioned contracted holiday clubs. The majority of families will use direct payment to arrange this support for their children.

2d) if yes to 2c), In 2024, how many disabled children under the age of 18 accessed holiday clubs?

Of the 4 identified organisations referenced above, 222 children were funded to attend.
