We would like to make a few enquiries about how Community equipment is commissioned in addition to Technology Enabled Care (Telehealth and Telecare). This will help us to drive forward the TEC Industry and ensure service users receive the best possible service.

CECOPS accredited and quality assured.

Telecare

1. Does your organisation commission or deliver a telecare service?

Yes – Devon County Council commissions a Technology enabled care and Support, including monitoring alert devices, through the Devon Independent Living Integrated Service (DILIS) contract

The contracted provider has to be TSA Accredited. Also, more widely, the contracted provider should be quality assured under CECOPS.

31/05/2022 with the option to extend by a further 2 years

6. Are you aware of the switch from analogue to digital and are you preparing for this?

Yes we are aware and with our commissioned Provider, Millbrook, we are taking steps to prepare for the change.

7. Is your commissioned service using assistive technology and the Internet of Things to support service users to remain independent?

Yes. Devon County Council commission the Independent Living Centre (ILC) service to promote this; their Website gives details on self-funded TECS options for independence and those available, where eligible, through the DILIS contract – ILC

8. Have you evaluated any of your programmes of work?

This evaluation is currently being undertaken and is not yet complete.  We therefore do not yet hold this information
