Strategic flood risk assessments, strategies and plans

Provide the following where in existence, and provide all versions where there have been updates undertaken:

Strategic Flood Risk Assessment – Level 1, inclusive of all accompanying Appendices, associated drawings and addendums. 

These are the responsibility of the Local Planning Authority to complete. Please liaise with the District Council/LPA for sight of their Level 1 Strategic Flood Risk Assessments (SFRA).

Devon County Council are responsible for Minerals and Waste Planning refer to Strategic Flood Risk Assessment .

Strategic Flood Risk Assessment – Level 2, inclusive of all accompanying Appendices associated drawings and addendums.

These are the responsibility of the Local Planning Authority to complete. Please liaise with the District Council/LPA for sight of their Level 2 SFRAs.

Preliminary Flood Risk Assessment – – inclusive of all accompanying Appendices associated drawings and addendums.

Devon County Council’s Preliminary Flood Risk Assessment and Revision.

Local Flood Risk Management Strategy – inclusive of all Appendices associated drawings and addendums.

A copy of Devon County Council’s Local Strategy and all supporting documents are publicly available on the Flood Risk Management website.  The revised document is to be considered by Cabinet on 12th February 2021 and if approved will be uploaded to the website shortly after.

Critical Drainage Area report or associated maps

These reports / maps are produced by the Environment Agency. However, some information is publicly available on the Flood Risk Management website under planning and development, however, please liaise with the Environment Agency for further details.

Post flood investigations report – inclusive of all accompanying Appendices associated drawings and addendums. 

Once completed and approved all Section 19 Flood Investigation Reports are publicly available on the Flood Risk Management website under reports and studies

Surface Water Management Plan – inclusive of all accompanying Appendices associated drawings and addendums.

All completed surface water management plans and Drainage Assessments / Flood Studies are publicly available on the Flood Risk Management website under reports and studies.  Some historic information has been added to assist with this request. Further detailed information and modelling etc. remains in the ownership of the consultant who carried out the investigations and not in the possession of Devon County Council, therefore not held.
