(1)How many penalty charge notices’ (PCN) were issued for parking on double yellow lines (DYL)?
Devon County Council do not hold the total issued for double yellow lines alone.
(2)What it the total number of PCN issued for parking where a ticket was deemed invalid?

(3)How many tickets were issued where a motorist had punched in the wrong VRM and what code would you use to differentiate a ticket being issued for that reason alone?
Devon County Council does not record this information and therefore we do not hold this data.
(4)How many tickets were issued for over staying their paid for parking time?

(5)How many tickets were issued for parking on single yellow lines (SYL)?
Devon County Council do not hold the total issue for single yellow lines alone.

(6)How many of those tickets issued were appealed for each of the above contraventions?
For Q1 and Q5 the combined total of informal appeals received for PCN’s issued as a Code 01 which is the contravention code used for DYL and SYL contraventions, also for restricted or pedestrian zones – 2518
For Q2, Contravention code 06 ‘parked without clearly displaying a valid P&D ticket or voucher’ – 1924 informal appeals received
For Q4, Contravention code 05 ‘ parked after the expiry of paid for time’ – 617 informal appeals received
(7) How many appeals at (3) were based on inputting the wrong VRM?
