I would like to see all the information appertaining to the introduction of a 20mph speed limit in the village of Sidford, East Devon and in particular how the requirements of Devon County Council’s published criteria were met.
The County of Devon (Various Roads, Sidford, Parish of Sidmouth)(20mph Zone) Order 2003 was introduced as a pilot scheme to assess and monitor the effectiveness of the introduction of a 20 mph speed limit zone on main roads. This was before the current policy on Local Speed Limits was agreed.
The relevant Committee report and minute from 2003 is attached.
