Changes to the requirement to submit GP ‘Fit note’ after seven day period of absence
In order to increase GP capacity to support the COVID-19 booster programme, the government has introduced legislation temporarily removing the requirement for employees absent from work through illness to obtain a GP Fit Note after a period of seven days, instead making this period twenty-eight days.
