Stronger Partnership Hub (SPH) South West Training – The Importance of Emotional Regulation

The Stronger Practice Hub (SPH) programme was launched in November 2022, as part of the Department for Education’s Early Years Education COVID-19 Recovery Package.

The programme aims to support providers to address the impact of the pandemic on young children, by sharing effective practice and building lasting local networks.

The SPH for the South West will be delivery training on Emotional Regulation in the new year.

The course will cover the following:

  • How does emotional regulation develop?
  • How to help a child to regulate their emotions
  • Strategies to support children to develop self-regulation.

By attending you will develop an understanding of:

  • The importance of emotional regulation on the development child and those around them
  • The long-term effects of not being able to regulate emotion can have on a child.
  • How to spot a child who is unable to self-regulate.
  • Strategies that might support a child who has difficulties in regulating their emotions.

The workshop is aimed at all practitioners.
