Out of school setting safeguarding ‘call for evidence’ – we need your help!

Out-of-school activities are a cornerstone of vibrant community life, offering children and young people enriching experiences in sports, music, arts, tutoring, youth groups, and more. These settings thrive thanks to the dedication of around 4.5 million adults who work or volunteer to make them safe, engaging, and inspiring.

Now, we need your help to make them even better.

The Department for Education has launched the ‘out-of-school settings safeguarding call for evidence’, and are inviting all providers to take part.

This is your opportunity to share your experiences, insights, and ideas on how safeguarding can be strengthen across these vital spaces.

We encourage you to:

  • Complete the ‘call for evidence’
  • Encourage your families and your wider community to complete

Together, we can ensure that out-of-school settings continue to be safe, supportive, and empowering for every child and young person.
