Opportunity for new and existing early years providers in Ilfracombe

Ilfracombe Town Council, in partnership with Devon County Council, is inviting expressions of interest from established early years and childcare providers to operate from the Lantern Nursery site. This is a unique chance to expand high-quality provision in an area with growing demand for places for children aged 0–4.

The site offers a dedicated nursery space with multiple rooms and a garden, and providers must be able to offer places across all age groups, operate for a minimum of 48 weeks per year, and meet Ofsted registration requirements.

Key dates

  • Open day: 16 October 2025
  • Expressions of interest deadline: 31 October 2025, 10am
  • Interviews: 6 November 2025
  • Decision announced: 14 November 2025
