Welcome to our fifth update on the ongoing redesign of Devon’s Education and Learning Services, specifically focusing on Early Years and Childcare.

Winkleigh Primary School has successfully expanded its nursery provision to include care for children under 2 years old, following a year-long journey of planning, funding, and development. Read their story.

In September the Department for Education launched the Big Switch Campaign. As part of this campaign an early years careers guide was launched to inspire more people to consider a career in early years education.

Become a ‘building babies’ brain champion by joining us on our fully funded series of workshops to support you to increase your knowledge of baby brain development, bonding and resilience, and be confident in ‘passing on’ this information to parents/carers/communities. Sessions start in November.
