Join leading early years specialists Jan Dubiel and Helen Battelley for a dynamic, evidence-informed day exploring what it really means for children to be “ready to write.” Grounded in the DfE Writing Framework, this interactive event will challenge assumptions,
clarify developmental expectations, and equip you with practical strategies to translate policy into purposeful, movement-based writing experiences.

  • Monday 9 March 2026 (9:30am – 3:30pm)
  • Location: (Face to face):  Taunton Rugby Football Club, Summerfield Stadium, Hyde Lane, Bathpool, Taunton, Somerset TA2 8BU.

Who can attend?

This training is for early years practitioners and leaders working in settings or childminders in our Stronger Practice Hub area (Plymouth, Devon, Cornwall, Brournemouth, Christchurch, Poole, Isles of Scilly, Dorset, Torbay). We will also prioritise settings and childminders in areas of deprivation.
