Supporting early communication development in everyday life – 8 July at Dartington
This workshop is free to access and will be face to face in the studio at Dartington School (TQ9 6JU)
About
The following will be explored:
- Key ingredients of the communication chain
- How we adapt our interactions to support each aspect – the traffic lights
- How we can use what we already do in every setting/class activities to support children (rather than always taking children out of the room to do special activities)
- A resource to help plan vocabulary development – the flower
The session will be led by Alice Thornton Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist. from the Early Years South West Stronger Practice Hub. Supported by Danni Cooke Ilsham English Hub lead and Vicky Grant Ilsham English Hub Specialist.
