Provider Self Update – REMINDER

The Provider Self Update (PSU) is a data collection tool for gathering information about early years and childcare provision that will be used by:

• the Early Years and Childcare Service (part of Devon County Council) for assessing the sufficiency of provision and
• will be published on Find Childcare which is a searchable directory of childcare in Devon for parents to view information about your services (depending on your consent levels). This displays the information you submit on the PSU for parents in an accessible way and is a tool for you to advertise your business.

We would like to thank those of you who have completed the PSU. However there remain a number of you who have yet to complete the PSU and/or have only partially completed it. We would ask that you complete this as soon as possible.

Funded providers will already have log in details to the Provider Portal. This is the same username and password you use to access the Provider Portal to complete headcount tasks and the Early Years Census.

Non-funded Providers should have been emailed a username and password to the nominated contact via separate emails. (If you have not received this please email: childcareinfo@devon.gov.uk)

There are guidance and training videos that will support you to correctly complete the PSU which can be found on the Provider Self Update webpage but please note specifically the following:

• Complete all tabs and for all services offered
• Tick the consent box as this will enable your details to be published on the new ‘Find Childcare’ site (when it become available)
• Enter a set of funded hours and capacity for funded children.
