• Exciting news for aspiring apprentices!

    In celebration of National Apprenticeships Week, the government has unveiled a series of changes designed to boost skills in high-demand sectors, such as early years education. One of the standout updates is the increased flexibility regarding English and maths qualifications.

  • Oral health improvement training

    The Big Brush club are providing fully funded virtual training sessions for early years and childcare practitioners and parents / guardians about the importance of children’s oral health. Dates running in March and April.

  • Early Years Foundation Stage conference: Growing up well

    Join us for the annual EYFS conference which takes place on 9th October in Exeter. This year focusing to ensure every child can thrive in their early years and will also explore how we can reduce the ‘disadvantage gap’ and ensure that we give all children the very best life chances.

  • The childcare market in Devon is buzzing!

    We have seen an overwhelming interest to set up new childcare in Dawlish. Existing and new childcare providers are invited to express an interest in setting up a full day care nursery in the town. Closing date for applications is 12am on 20 February.

  • Spring wrapround childcare programme updates

    Find out about the new ‘equivalent hours’ which means childcare must continue to at least 5.30pm. You can still apply for the funding even if you don’t have a need to open until 6pm. Find out how to apply for wraparound childcare and book onto one of our free briefing sessions running 20 Feb at 9.30am and 13 March at 7pm.
