Martyn’s Law: early years settings to fall under ‘Standard Tier’
The UK Government has confirmed that under the newly enacted Martyn’s Law (The Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025), all early years settings will be classified under the Standard Tier, regardless of their capacity.

Childcare Choices has now transitioned to Best Start in Life a new, user-friendly platform designed to support families from pregnancy through to starting school and beyond.

School based nurseries: funding round 2
This post is for all early years providers and not just for schools. The DFE has announced the next round of school-based nursery funding. The application window for schools opens on September 22 and closes on December 11th.
