Summary of Matter or Issue Requiring Decision:

Following the freehold transfer back to the Council of 2-4 Meeting Street, Exmouth for the sum of £1.00, to regularise lease arrangements with the Exmouth Ceramics Group, already in situ.  A peppercorn rent will be charged.  The Exmouth Ceramics Group will have repairing responsibilities and pay proportionate utility costs.

Decision Taken:

To grant a 5 year lease to the Exmouth Ceramics Group.

Summary of Reason(s) for Decision Taken:

To regularise lease terms with the Exmouth Ceramics Group operating out the ground floor Annexe Building, 2- 4 Meeting Street, Exmouth. EX8 1LN.

Summary of Alternatives or Options considered and rejected:

The 2-4 Meeting Street site is earmarked to provide replacement office and public facing clinical provision for DCC’s patch based Public Health Nursing Team from early 2022 for this reason to dispose of the site and generate a capital receipt has been rejected as an option.
