Decision to extend the contract for CPQ589-13 – Adoption Video and Photography Services.

Decision Taken:

To extend the contract (Subject to due diligence) to the below organisation(s) for the provision of the above contract.  The contract extension will commence on 12th May 2017, for the period of 12 Months.

Company Film Solutions, 43 Granary Lane, Budleigh Salterton, EX9 6EP

Summary of Reason(s) for Decision Taken:

The adoption service is currently in the process of becoming regionalised, meaning there is no certainty with regards to the current services and contracts in place.

The decision to extend the contract was made following the completion of an options appraisal and the outcome that extending was the best option at present for Devon County Council.

Summary of Alternatives or Options considered and rejected:

An options appraisal was carried out with the following options considered:

o  Devon County Council to re-tender the contract

o  Direct award to an alternative supplier

o  Allow the contract to expire and do not put another in place

o  Extend the current contract

Details of any conflict of interest and dispensation granted to the Officer taking the decision or by any Member of the Council in delegating responsibility for any specific express delegation:

No conflicts of interest in relation to the extension of this contract.
