Decision Taken:

To award a contract to the below organisation for the provision of the above contract. The contract will commence on 1st June 2021, for the period of four years.

The decision has been taken on the basis of the supplier offering the most competitive price based upon the framework pricing.

Summary of Alternatives or Options considered and rejected:

A number of options were considered before the decision was made to direct award a contract to Arthur J. Gallagher Insurance Brokers Ltd under the Crown Commercial Services framework RM6020 for the provision of insurance services.

Options considered were:

  • Allow the current contract to expire and do nothing.
  • Extend the current contract
  • Direct award a contract to Arthur J. Gallagher Insurance Brokers Ltd under the Crown Commercial Services framework RM6020 for the provision of insurance services.
  • Carry out a mini-competition under framework.
  • Devon County Council to carry out a Formal RFQ process.
