Summary of Matter or Issue Requiring Decision:

Publication of new Monitoring and Enforcement Plan

Decision Taken:

Approve (following agreement of Chair of Development Management Committee).

Summary of Reason(s) for Decision Taken:

The new version of the Plan provides a clearer structure without repetition in comparison with the current version. It also addresses changes in legislation. This new Plan has been through a process of internal consultation with Planning and Legal officers and has been refined to take account of comments received.

Summary of Alternatives or Options considered and rejected:

Preparation of a local enforcement plan is a requirement of the National Planning Policy Framework. Not maintaining such a plan is therefore not an option. Retention of the existing Plan is not considered a satisfactory alternative due to its poor legibility.
