This project forms part of the 2016/17 capital maintenance programme. The project budget was based on an initial estimate and following a detailed survey, the scope of improvement was greater than originally envisaged. Tenders have subsequently been returned with the lowest tender being £82,000 over the available funding. Permission is sought to allocate an additional £82,000 from savings on projects at Teign School, Combe Martin Primary School and Yeo Valley Primary School in order to allow the full scope of roof improvements to proceed.
