Decision to vary the contract for CP1731-19 Devon Youth Services.
To provide funding to the Supplier to enable distribution of emergency relief funds to Voluntary and Community youth groups in Devon during the Covid-19 pandemic
The funding will be a one-off payment of £51,781 to the Supplier.
Additional funding to be made available to support voluntary and community sector youth clubs that would otherwise be at risk of permanent closure because the restrictions to movement arising from the management of the coronavirus pandemic have frustrated their ability to raise income.
The existing provider of our county-wide youth service offer has the infrastructure, relationships and governance arrangements in place to manage the fund appropriately and is able to take on responsibility for the work with immediate effect.
We reviewed the landscape quickly to see if there was anyone else who we thought could take this work forward at speed and without any set-up costs / overheads and found no obvious alternative providers with comparable knowledge of the youth sector in Devon who could mobilise immediately.
