Summary of Matter or Issue Requiring Decision:

To award the contract for operation of the Authority’s waste transfer facility in Exeter to the company detailed in section 2 below.

Decision Taken:

Award the contract for the provision of service detailed in section 1 above to the below organisation.

Viridor Waste Management Limited, Viridor House, Youngman Place, Priory Bridge Road, Taunton, Somerset TA1 1AP.
Company Registration Number and legal form: 575059 – Limited Company.

The service will commence on 1st March 2021 and expires on 31st March 2026 with option to extend the contract by periods totaling a maximum of 4 further years.

Summary of Reason(s) for Decision Taken:

An Open tendering procedure was followed in accordance with the Public Contracts Regulations 2015.

In response to the Authority’s invitation to tender, two tenders were received and evaluated in accordance with procedures set out in the invitation to tender. The evaluation process identified company in section 2 above to be the preferred bidder.
