To consider the future of the Actuarial Service contract (CP656-09) as from 11th February 2016.

Decision Taken:

The decision was taken to extend the contract for two years from 11th February 2016 to 10th February 2018.

Summary of Reason(s) for Decision Taken:

An options appraisal was carried out and extending the contract was agreed to be the most suitable option at the present time.

Summary of Alternatives or Options considered and rejected:

The following options were considered:

  • Extend the contract for two years as from 11th February 2016.
  • Re-tender for new insurance policies
  • Join onto the Crown Commercial Service (CCS) Insurance Services framework
  • Direct call-off

There are no conflicts of interest in relation to this contract being extended for two years.
