The decision was taken to extend the contract for two years from 11^th February 2016 to 10^th February 2018.

An options appraisal was carried out and extending the contract was agreed to be the most suitable option at the present time.

The following options were considered:

Extend the contract for two years as from 11^th February 2016.
Re-tender for new insurance policies
Join onto the Crown Commercial Service (CCS) Insurance Services framework
Direct call-off

There are no conflicts of interest in relation to this contract being extended for two years.
