Release of funding from the agreed annual budget for 2016/17 to Devon Communities Recycling Network.

Summary of Reason(s) for Decision Taken:
At its meeting on 4th February 2016 the Devon Authorities Waste Recycling Committee resolved that the Head of Highways, Capital Development Waste, in consultation with the Chairman and/or Vice-Chairman of DAWRRC, be authorised to release funding to the Devon Community Recycling Network allocated for 2016/17 only when a new Co-ordinator has been appointed and a satisfactory Proposal for the operation of the Network has been received and agreed by partner authorities. (see Minute 67)
- DCRN has appointed a new coordinator
- the Proposal for 2016/17 has been agreed (click to see the proposals)
- Both the Chair and Vice Chair of DAWRRC have been consulted and agreed to the release of the funding
Summary of Alternatives or Options considered and rejected:
To withhold the funding. This would prevent delivery of the agreed 2016/17 proposal.
