However, DCC is the lead authority for the delivery of Multiply in Devon. Multiply is a 3 year programme and it is part of the UK SPF funding, overseen by the Department for Education. The Multiply programme is designed to boost numeracy skills in adults aged 19 and over.
DCC delivers Multiply through ‘in house delivery’ covered by Learn Devon (DCC’s adults’ education service) and through external provides as detailed it the answer to the second question.
DCC delivery through Learn Devon:
Due to the geographical spread in Devon staff may work on the project for short periods of time depending on the area. For this reason, Full Time Equivalent (FTE) gives a better indication of the time spent on the project by the staff delivering the Multiply training.
DCC also allocated staff for Quality Assurance, Data Management, Programme Management and Finance for the Multiply programme – this includes activity for both the internal and external delivery. These members of staff are part time allocated to the programme, ranging from 0.1 FTE to 0.6 FTE.
