What is the cost of a temporary pot hole repair for 1 square metre and that of a full repair or whatever size is used?
Devon County Council currently pays for pothole repairs by the term maintenance contractor on a cost-reimbursable basis.
This means that the costs incurred for material, plant, operatives and so on are billed to Devon County Council, rather than a fixed rate per square meter repair.
The average cost per pothole repair in financial year 21/22 is around £80, however this can vary significantly on a per pothole basis due to issues such as traffic management and traffic sensitive streets requiring out of hours works.
All pothole repairs carried out are permanent repairs.
