Tavistock On-Street Parking Charges

Devon County Council cannot disclose personal information, if releasing it would contravene any of the provisions in the Data Protection Act 2018.  In this instance, release of this information would be a contravention of the first data protection principle and therefore Section 40(2) is applied. 

2. Apart from the Town Centre Retail vacancy document, were any other documents relied on as a background paper?

No. The Town Centre Retail Vacancy was the basis of prioritisation of communities for treatment.

3. Does the Council hold information which can/will be used, or has been used, to substantiate the requirements of Section 45 of the Road Traffic Act 1984 (excluding documents from Q2 and the November report to Cabinet)?

No.

4. Does the Council have any policies or similar in relation to the introduction or assessment of charging for on-street parking?

Yes.

Under Section 21 of the Freedom of Information Act, this information is exempt from disclosure under the rights inferred by the Act, because it is already publicly available on this Democracy Devon webpage, item 238. As you can see, this policy on parking management was agreed by Cabinet in November 2022.
