Who was responsible for mismeasuring the width of the sweetbriar lane cycle lane
A provisional measurement was advised by the design team using the available mapping data at the time. The carriageway actual width was discovered at the detailed design stage following a more detailed survey of Sweetbriar Lane, which provided detailed geometries. We do not have details of individual names of staff.
What further risk assessment was carried out in relation to completing the cycle lane with an incorrect carriage way width

Was the Sweetbriar lane cycle lane subject to any additional costs over and above the funding applied for and if so by how much and by which method were these funded. If additional funding was received which schemes were these funds diverted from
Exeter Highways and Traffic Order Committee approved the Sweetbriar Lane scheme with a cost of £250,000 (as described above) funded from £50,000 Section 106 from Matford Green and £200,000 Emergency Active Travel Fund Tranche 2. The total cost as detailed above was within this cost threshold.
