Stover Cycle Trail

All information relevant to the planning, construction and completion of the Stover Cycle Trail

The project to build this trail has been through land purchase, planning applications, design and finally construction, a process that took approximately 5 years to complete.

We estimate that it would take greater than the 18 hours that the Council is obliged to spend answering a freedom of information request to provide a response to this question.  Under the Freedom of Information and Data Protection (Appropriate Limit and Fees) Regulations 2004 public authorities are not obliged to comply with requests which exceed the cost limit of £450 (equating to 18 hours of time). As such, we consider that Section 12 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 applies.

However, by way of assistance rather than asking for ‘all information’ if you were to request a particular document or ask a precise question we can search further.

In particular the plan to safely join this trail through Bovey Tracey to the Wray Valley Cycle Trail in a way that is safe for children of 14 to safely negotiate both trails

Whilst the Wray Valley Trail and the Stover Trail are established paths there are no active projects concerning cycle provision to link the two trails through Bovey Tracey.
