Please note, details provided are by financial year and not academic year.
22/23 – £24,216,798.54
23/24 – £25,791,181.55
24/25 – £27,473,641.71
2. Are there any particular schools in Devon that have very high bills for annual taxi fares ?
The spend on taxi contracts per school varies due to a number of factors such as the number of children and their transport requirements, distances travelled and level of competition for contracts. As such using total annual spend wouldn’t be a fair reflection of taxi transport costs to individual schools. For example, this current year, our most expensive network averages around £10,627.52 per head for 196 passengers. However, one of the smaller lower costing networks averages £10,775.65 per head for 51 passengers..
