Selective State Schools

Please provide:

– the total number of selective state schools which use the 11 plus / transfer test to determine entry
– the extent of the selective system, expressed as a percentage, amongst all secondary schools
– recent statistics (numbers and percentages) regarding the numbers of children who pass the test and are educated at a private school
– recent statistics (numbers and percentages) regarding the numbers of children who pass the test and who qualify for free school meals
– recent statistics (numbers and percentages) regarding the numbers of children who pass the test and who have received private tuition/ coaching
– copies of your authority’s rules and guidance including to schools, exam boards, or parents regarding (1) private tuition/ coaching for the test and (2) how private tuition/ coaching for the test should be treated in the appeals system
