5. What have been the key factors driving an increase in transport costs for children with SEND in your council in recent years?
Increase in pupil need with either/both behaviour and medical. Behavioural needs result in pupils unable to share with others or additional support required for safety. Medical needs require more specialist support.
Distances pupils need to travel from home to educational setting.
