School Buildings With RAAC

1) Please list the mitigations you have in place to make safe school buildings with Reinforced Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (RAAC) for which you are responsible.
2) Are school buildings with mitigations in place being used to teach children in face-to-face learning?
3) Please list the amounts either quoted or that you have spent in total on temporary mitigation and temporary accommodation.
4) What estimate have you been given for the cost of demolition and rebuilding of structures with RAAC in your school.
5) When this building work is expected to commence (if it has not already done so) and when you expect it to be completed.

Devon County Council have no local authority-maintained schools with RAAC and therefore there are no mitigations, temporary accommodation, demolitions or rebuilding required. There are a very small number of Academy schools in Devon that have RAAC and require remedial measures but being Academy schools, they are not the responsibility of Devon County Council. Such schools would work directly with the Department of Education on remedial measures as appropriate so the Department for Education would be the appropriate body to approach about these.
