Compliance with this request would exceed the appropriate cost limit under Section 12 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 which is £450 or 18 hours of officer time. There are 1750 students in the school and it would take a two minutes to check if each one was there on the first day of term and if they had SEN support. 1075 x 2 minutes = 2150 minutes which is over 33 hours and therefore over the 18 hours.
In the interests of providing advice and assistance, the Council can provide the following information. The Autumn census took place on Thursday 5th October 2023 at this point 1075 pupils attended Ilfracombe Academy of which 170 were registered as having SEN Support and 29 with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
