I would be grateful if you could supply any information you have on Devon County Council’s sale of the land which was Rolle Road in Great Torrington.
We are not aware of any records indicating that Rolle Road was previously owned by Devon County Council. The road was a former toll road relating to an old canal. Public access rights exist along Rolle Road for walking, running, mobility scooters or powered wheelchairs. This is recorded as Great Torrington Footpath 2. It is our understanding that the majority of the road is within the ownership of Great Torrington Commons Conservators (as part of Torrington Common)
As Devon County Council do not hold any information regarding this land, we would recommend that you raise your query with Torridge District Council
