No however all contractors working on the network are obligated to comply with the appropriate British Standards and Code of Practice
4. If you do not have your own road marking capabilities, do you mandate that road marking contractors working on your network are accredited to the National Highways Sector Scheme (NHSS) No. 7?

In response to questions 4 and 5, where a NHSS exists for a specific activity contractors are required to ensure they are qualified to that standard
6. If highways maintenance on your network is outsourced to a single provider, please provide the company’s name?
Due to the variation in work types the delivery of highways maintenance is not limited to a single provider.
7. If this highways maintenance contractor subcontracts road marking provision from a specialist road marking contractor, do you mandate that any road marking contractors they contract with are accredited to National Highways Sector Scheme No. 7?
Where subcontractors are employed by a main contractor the requirements we have set out in response to questions 3 and 4 above will still apply.
8. Please provide the name of the road marking contractor(s) employed either directly by your authority or through your highways maintenance contractor.
The following road marking contractors are used frequently by our supply chain contractors however capacity issues during periods of high demand may mean other sub-contractors will also be used to ensure programme delivery requirements are met:
