With reference to the Rifford Road Cycle Track please provide:
1) The actual numbers used to support the claims of “anticipated cycle flows” (Public Consultation) and “usage is expected to increase” (Impact Assessment).
Devon County Council does not hold this information. This is because no ‘actual numbers’ have been forecast with regards to the anticipated cycle flows. These statements are based on qualitative assessment, rather than quantitative assessment.
2) The current cycle usage along Rifford Road.
256 cyclists on a single representative day during 12 hours (7am – 7pm, two-way) on Rifford Road. This is from a count taken at the junction of Rifford Road, Burnthouse Lane, Ludwell Lane and Coronation Road.
3) Details (dates, conclusions, etc) of consultation with elected members where these numbers were presented.
Please see response to Question 1; these are qualitative not quantitative. Therefore, Devon County Council does not hold this information.
4) Where these usage numbers were made publicly accessible.
