We can also confirm that the safety defect budget for 2021/22 is £4.5m.

We hold this information for the financial years as follows:
2019-2020 = £75,921
2020-2021 = £102,994
2021-present = £583,109
This information relates to payments made per calendar year regardless of when the claim incident occurred. We have settled a very large personal injury claim in 2021 which is why the total has increased significantly.
