Parking Services Telephone System

This is a freedom of information request for:

The number of times* the Parking Services’ system for leaving a message so that Parking Services can get back to you has been full so that no more messages can be recorded on the system.

*This means that the system could be filled up more than once in a day i.e. in a single day it could be full then space made available and then filled up again.

Devon County Council cannot provide the information as this is not recorded.

The maximum number of messages that can be stored on the Parking Services’ system for leaving a message so that Parking Services can get back to you.

It is not defined in the number of messages but the total time of all messages in the mailbox.  Until 14th August 2023, it was a total of 30 minutes.  This was changed to 60 minutes on the 14th August 2023, due to the increased level of queries to the team.  The maximum allowable length for each message is defined as 2 minutes.

“Unread” messages will remain on the system indefinitely.  Once they are “read” they will remain on the system for 10 days before being automatically deleted.

Please provide the data for the last five years. If you do not have the last five years data then whatever data you do hold is fine.
