How many pieces of casework/member enquiries were raised by each Councillor with the authority in the financial year 2022/23? Please include all queries officially logged by each Councillor, whether on behalf of a resident or where the Councillor has raised the query on their own account.
Compliance with this request would exceed the appropriate cost limit under Section 12 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 which is £450 or 18 hours of officer time. The Council does not have a central record or case management system of member enquiries. In order to find and collate the requested information, each member would have to be contacted and asked to search through all correspondence (postal/email/teams/telephone notes etc) and respond. This would then need to be searched through to determine the origin of each query, and all of the information then collated. The Council is comprised of 60 Councillors, with a conservative estimate that this work would take 5 hours per Councillor this equates to 300 hours work.
Under the Act, we have a duty to provide advice and assistance as to how a request can be refined to fit within the appropriate limit. Unfortunately, due to the way the data is held, this is not possible for this request.
