Replacement of Mallison Bridge on Exeter Quayside. I understand that the budget for the replacement of the bridge with a new structure is £1.1 million. This budget seems excessive for a low altitude span of approx. 25m.
1. Please will you supply me with copies of the design specification and drawings and the submitted all inclusive budget from your approved contractor?
The project is still currently at the outline design stage and will need to be progressed to the planning stage before detailed design can commence.

2. Please will you also supply me with the details of your procurement and competitive tendering process for this project?
The construction of the bridge has not yet been procured and the procurement strategy has not yet been finalised, however, at this time it is proposed that construction will be procured through competitive tender under the Devon County Council Minor Engineering Works Framework 2022 – 2026.
