2. How many fee earners are employed in the legal services department?
There are no ‘fee earners’ within the DCC Legal Department. DCC currently employs a total of 41 individuals within its Legal Department.
3. How many paralegals (or of equivalent title) are employed in the legal services department?
DCC does not currently employ paralegals. DCC has Legal Assistants and Senior Legal Assistants of which there are currently eight employed in total.
4. How many legal executives are employed in the legal services department?
Seven.
5. How many solicitors are employed in the legal services department?

6. How many legal apprentices are employed in the legal services department?
None, DCC does not currently have a Legal Apprentice role.

12. Can employees in the legal services department work from home and/or agile work and what is the policy for this?
Yes. DCC does permit its employees to work from home, and some staff in Legal Services do carry out occasional homeworking. This is where part of the total working hours may be worked at home with the agreement of the manager. The employee’s work base remains the office or establishment.

Local Government Pension Scheme, flexi-time and payment of practising certificate.
14. Is the legal services department an ABS, shared-service and/or in-house department?
The Legal Services Department is an in-house department.
