There are 10 clients with a learning disability who have moved into a care home setting during this period.

2) Between April 2023 – March 2025 how many people with the specific diagnosis of Down’s Syndrome have been moved from their own home into a nursing or residential dementia care home for older people?

0 – we have not identified any cases in the older adults cohort.

3) Between April 2023 – March 2025 how many people with a learning disability have moved from a supported living service or residential home that specialises in supporting people with a learning disability into a nursing or residential dementia care home for older people?

There are 3 cases where an individual was previously in a supported living arrangement prior to being placed.

4) In all cases of the above, what was the average cost per week to support a person with learning disabilities prior
to their move into a nursing or residential dementia care home for older people?

For residential placements the average is £1,484 per week (£1,554 non supported living, £1,367 supported living) and an average of £1,189 per week for a nursing placement.

5) Between April 2023 – March 2025 what was the average cost to support an older person living in a nursing or
residential care home for older people?

The average weekly cost to support an older person in residential or nursing between this timeframe was £1,074 per week.
