Household Support Fund – Oct 2021 – Mar 2022

1. How much did your local authority spend, or commit, of its Household Support Fund (HSF) allocation in the period 6 October 2021 to 31 March 2022?

Based on Management Information (MI) returned to the DWP (Department of Work and Pensions) in April 2022: the amount spent/committed in the Devon County Council (DCC) administrative area was £4,892,726.

2. As of 1 April 2022, how much of your HSF allocation intended for the period 6 October 2021 to 31 March 2022 remained unspent or uncommitted?

£172,150.12

3. What happened to any unspent or uncommitted funding on 1 April 2022?

DCC is paid by DWP in arrears. DCC can only claim the £4,892,726 we have spent and not the full allocation of £5,064,876.12. Therefore, DCC does not actually have the unspent £172,150.12 as this is still unclaimed and with the DWP.

4. How much of the HSF allocation intended for the period 1 April 2022 to 30 September 2022 have you already spent or committed?

As of 10 May 2022 Devon County Council has spent and/or committed £4,263,519.42. NB: Committed spend may be subject to change and total spend for the HSF cannot be confirmed until Devon County Council MI returns are submitted to DWP

5. How much of the HSF allocation intended for the period 1 April 2022 to 30 September 2022 have you yet to spend or commit?

£801,356.70
