There are currently 21 full time Highway Safety Inspectors employed by our Term Maintenance Contractor, Milestone Infrastructure Ltd
2. Details of which areas these Highways Inspectors are assigned to;
Inspectors are not fixed to certain geographical areas, and will be assigned to work in locations depending on inspection requirements and levels of demand
3. Are these areas aligned to the District or City Council areas?;

4. Are these Highway Inspectors directly employed by Devon County Council? If not, which organisation are they employed by?
The inspectors are directly employed by Milestone Infrastructure Ltd, who are Devon County Council’s current term maintenance contractor for highways
5. The gross employment costs of these Highway Inspectors.
Our expenditure in 23/24 for Highway Safety Inspectors totalled £1,042,992.54. In addition to undertaking highway inspections, a significant part of their work is the design of larger patching repairs.
6. What minimum level of qualifications are required for Highways Inspectors?
