Heavitree and Whipton LTN – Cycling Groups Meetings

1. Prior to 20 June 2023 did any external group such as Exeter Cycling or any Active travel led group, meet with any Devon County Council (DCC) officials/councillors or WSP to discuss the proposed Low Traffic Neighbourhood (LTN) scheme. Were they given the opportunity to suggest ideas or amendments and thus make contributions to the design? If so, what comments were made and are there minutes of these minutes that can be shared?

Meetings with external groups prior to 20 June 2023 are detailed here Heavitree and Whipton Low Traffic Neighbourhood. Attendees were able to suggest ideas regarding the design of the proposed trial scheme, however any suggestions made by consultees are subject to further consideration by the project team prior to any changes being made to the scheme design. Notes of the meeting with the RNIB (Royal National Institute of Blind People) are available here Heavitree and Whipton Low Traffic Neighbourhood (LTN). Notes of the meeting with the Friends of the Heavitree Health Centre are given in Friends of Heavitree Health Centre.

2. Have any such groups had similar meetings with any of the said officials post 20 June 2023 and if so, again, what comments have been made and are there minutes that can be shared?

Meetings with external groups after 20 June 2023 are detailed in Heavitree and Whipton Low Traffic Neighbourhood. Minutes of the meeting with Living Options are available at Heavitree Whipton LTN (meeting with Disability Groups). Minutes of the meeting with the Exeter Cycle Campaign are not held by Devon County Council, however this meeting was for information purposes only, rather than discussing the design of the trial scheme.
